Highlights of the conference included powerful keynote addresses from Dr. Robyn Henderson-Espinoza, Heidi Schlumpf and Elvira Arellano, as well as a fantastic roundtable discussion with our 20/30 Project for Mentoring and Leadership Cohort. We also participated in two different social action witnesses, one for immigrant justice and one in solidarity with victims of clergy sex abuse. Presenter: James Elliott, PT, PhD, FAPTA SYNOPSIS: These innovative participatory lectures provides participants the opportunity to learn, apply, and interpret new research and clinical knowledge to optimize outcomes of traumatic and non-traumatic neck pain such as whiplash- associated disorder and idiopathic neck pain. Learning Objectives: By the end of this lecture, course participants will be able to: 1. Describe and apply a new framework for pain assessment using a ‘radar plot’ as an approach to structure and interpret assessment findings 2. Critically discuss the value and caveats of diagnostic imaging for patients with traumatic neck pain. 3. Identify and describe risk factors for chronicity in patients with acute traumatic neck pain.
